Gothenburg metal galore

After re-reading Daniel Ekeroth's Swedish Death Metal a couple of weeks ago, I couldn't help but nerd out in my usual fashion.

Since all Swedish metal bands share a lineage (or at least that's how it feels sometimes) with everybody playing with everybody in so many different bands it'll make your nipple wiggle counter clockwise just thinking about it, I couldn't resist putting together a fat compilation of some of all of the bands related in one way or another to At The Gates and/or The Haunted.

I could've of course included even more bands, such as The Crown, Cradle of Filth, Brujeria, Paradise Lost, Zen Monkey, Nightrage, Netherbird, Satanic Slaughter, etc, but I had to draw the line somewhere and 20 tracks seemed about right.

Okay, there you go. You may have noticed I included two songs by The Haunted. That's because the first one features the original line-up of Dolving & Erlandsson, and the second one has the later line-up of Aro & Möller Jensen. Yeah.

So that's Gothenburg taken care of. Perhaps one day I'll build up the energy to make a similar one about the Stockholm scene, which is likely to be at least twice as long and incestuous.
