Appreciation for Sonic's Rendezvous Band is the yardstick by which I measure a person's love and care for rock and roll. I found the "City Slang" live comp from Mack Aborn Records, a very long time ago, and for years you couldn't find anything in record stores. It took years for me to finally track down the Mack Aborn "Sweet Nothing" disc and all of this before bittorrent / mp3 blogs / etc.
Anyone else miss the days when you could walk into a bloody awesome record store, and some dude behind the counter, who knew you by name, would smoke a spiff with you just dish up some of these great bands?
You know who I mean - that guy who knew you were a huge Entombed fan and played Supershitty to the Max for you when it first came out.
Whatever happened to those guys?
I think more than anything, this is why I appreciate your site David... although I often find stuff I know of here, it takes me back to those good old times. Many thanks for your hard work, good blogs like this are candles in the dark.

Hellacopers, Melvins, Big Business, Qotsa, Primus, Tool etc, det är ju tamejfan helt perfekt. Riktigt jävla nice med alla låtar (och videos) som du lägger upp också, synd bara att fileden-länkarna inte "räcker" så länge.
