I revisited this album not long ago, and to my surprise there was a whopping THREE songs I liked!
I dug the shit out of this album when it first came out, being a fan of their debut and all, but my interest went away rather quickly. No particular reason, it's just not very good. It's possibly Korn's angriest album with the roughest production, but most of the songs here just sound, to quote Lars Ulrich, "stock". Dull shit. A band already going through the motions. How sad.
These three are the shit however:
(mp3) Korn - Twist
(mp3) Korn - Wicked (feat. Chino Moreno)
(mp3) Korn - Ass itch (highly recommended!)

Dear Mr Lindqvist,
Weren't they rushed into doing the album, to cash in on the success of the self-titled? Hence the rough production and, as you - or Lars - said, the "stock" songs.
I still prefer this album to 'Take a Look in the Mirror', though. Maybe it's me, but every song sounded the same: verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus, end. At least Slayer know how to write riffs (and more).

P.S. Thanks for Opeth's 'Watershed'. The few songs I'd heard were great, but, you know, why pay for an entire album if you only like one song? Forgetting the tinge of cheesiness in the lyrics, I'm loving it; if this is Opeth at their worst, I'm sure I can handle 'Blackwater Park'. Which should arrive in the mail tomorrow, then I'll bite the bullet on 'Still Life'.
